1. Introduction
701ClientSQL supports system-wide door group setting function, it could easily manage the access doors of all users. 701ClientSQL will display (M05)Door Group error while the person presenting a card without authorization.
*H series controller will show (M03)Invalid Card while violating door group authorization; Only E series controller will show (M05)Door Group error, therefore, it is recommended to employ E series controller while managing user access via Door Group Function.
2. Solutions:
(1) Display (M05) error without Door Group Setting
a. Confirm whether the user selected door group accidentally
It is required to select ALL when the user is without access restriction, updating the card data if modification has done
If you select a door group without setting access authorization, it will display M05 error and be unavailable to get access, hence default door options of all door groups are tick-off.
(2) Display (M05) error with Door Group Setting but don’t understand the reason
b. Confirm the Door Group Setting
STEP1. Check whether the door required to be passed had been ticked on.
STEP2. Select “Save” when you have modified the setting
STEP3. After saving door group, it is required to update door group data by updating a random card that using specified door group. Selecting “Save” and “Download”
c. Confirm Level Setting
STEP1. Check whether the level of user is greater than or equal to the level of door group, or it will be unavailable to get access.
*If you want to restrict the access authorization via door group and time zone simultaneously, it is recommended to refer Paragraph 2.2/2.3/2.6 of 701Client Manual
STEP2. It is available to set level 00 when you don’t required to restrict access by level setting, if you has done the modification, please refer to the Step3 of b. Confirm the Door Group Setting.
(3) Confirm the Door Number Setting of Multi-door Control Panel
Introduction: If the configuration also has Multi-door Control Panel AR-716-E16/AR-716-E18, it is probably the door number setting is wrong.
(e) AR-716-E16
Read the parameter setting of Multi-door Control Panel in 701ServerSQL, confirm the door number is synchronized to the parameter in 701ClientSQL, system will determine that the user has no authorization when door number parameters are inconsistent.
