Questions :  How to connect E/H-V5 Series controller to Ethernet?

Problem Solving :

  • Required/Applied Condition: All E/H-V5 series controller with additional purchase TCP/IP module

  • Function: 3 different ways to connect E/H-V5 series with TCP/IP module to Ethernet

Option 1. PIN to PIN connection

          Option 2. Via AR-MDL-RJ45

          Option 3. Via Serial-to-Ethernet AR-727CM

  • Problem Solving:

Option 1. PIN to PIN connection

Suitable for: controller without additional purchase any converter

If you purchase E/H-V5 series controller with TCP/IP module, you will get TCP/IP cable (7 PIN with 4 cables)

You can directly connect the TCP/IP cables to Cat6 cable (need to cut open first) by connecting the same color of both cables together. Refer to picture below:

Suitable for: customer who does not want to cut Cat6 cable, willing to additional purchase AR-MDL-RJ45.

With this converter, you can directly connect the controller to Cat6 cable without cutting it.

Option 3. Via Serial-to-Ethernet AR-727CM

Suitable for: more than one controller (AR-727CM can connect up to 16 connected to one IP address)

Via AR-727CM, you can connect up to 8 node ID to CH 1 and up to 8 node ID to CH 2. The connection to controller is by RS485 and all of the controller under AR-727CM will be connected to TCP/IP via Cat6 cable.
