Questions : Soyal EM Card Format Instruction
Problem Solving :
Soyal EM (125Khz) card is standard WG 26bit or WG34 bit format card
Wiegand Format for Card Data as below:
Wiegand 26 bits format : First 12 bits is even parity. Last 12 bits is odd parity.
E FFFF FFFF CCCC CCCC CCCC CCCC O
Wiegand 34 bits format : First 16 bits is even parity. Last 16 bits is odd parity.
E FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF CCCC CCCC CCCC CCCC O
E/O : Even/odd parity bit. F : Facil code. C : Badge Number.
NOTE ON PARITY: A parity bit is used as a very simple quality check for the accuracy of the transmitted binary data. The designer of the format program will decide if each parity bit should be even or odd. A selected group of data bits will be
united with one parity bit, and the total number of bits should result in either an even or odd number.
In the example above, the leading parity bit (even) is linked to the first 12 data bits. If the 12 data bits result in an odd number, the parity bit is set to one to make the 13-bit total come out even. The final 13 bits are similarly set to an odd total.
The customer can check card side code to distinguish the card is WG 26 bit or WG34 bit
WG 26 bit Card Number: the site code Number range from 00000 to 00255
(11111111 Binary =255 Decimal)
WG 34 bit Card Number: the site code Number range from 00256 to 65535
(1111111111111111 Binary =65535 Decimal)
